Frequently Asked Questions

SKY is all about being true to yourself. SKY gives teenage girls a supportive community of peers to help them follow their passions and say no to the things they know they’re good without.  We run competitions and events for girls to have a safe space to share their talents and interact with other teens.

SKY includes interaction platforms on social media, competitions, radio, and TV.

Our target is teenage girls aged 13-17. These ages have been highlighted, following extensive research, to be the period when girls benefit most from a supportive community that helps them stay true to their values

SKY Girls are girls who have made the decision to live their lives staying true to themselves. They follow their passions and encourage their friends to do the same. They are a part of a community of teens who connect on social media, events, in communities and in schools.

SKY offers girls opportunities to explore new interests and discover their own talents. SKY is led by girls – so whether it’s writing articles, presenting a radio show, illustrating a cartoon strip, designing clothes or being math champions, we encourage girls to do their thing and support others who are doing theirs.

SKY is a pan-African movement with programmes in Botswana, Ghana, Kenya and Cote d’Ivoire schools.
